    IAA and Training Administrator

    Salary:  £23,332

    Hours:  35 hours per week, 09:00 - 16:30 Mon - Fri

    Type of contract:  Permanent

    Location:  The role is office based in Worthing, with occasional travel required around West Sussex

    Reporting to:  Support service team lead

    Overview:

    Purpose of the role

    The Direct Payments Support Service (DPSS) supports disabled people who receive Direct Payments to successfully recruit and train Personal Assistants and to support them to be good and effective employers.

    Overview

    • To support disabled people to recruit their own Personal Assistants (PAs) who would provide them with health and/or social care support.
    • To provide advice, information and guidance over the telephone, on writing adverts to a high standard to attract the right applicants.
    • Research and test new recruitment initiatives
    • Ensure training paperwork is recorded/sent/uploaded/updated & certificates issued and monitored.

     

    Communications and PR officer

    Salary:  £22,105.00

    Hours:  30 hours per week mon-fri, pattern to be agreed

    Type of contract:  Permanent

    Location:  This is a hybrid role working between our office based in Worthing and home working

    Reporting to:  Head of HR and Central Services

    Overview:

    Purpose of the role

    This is an exciting new role!

    We are seeking a dynamic and creative Communications and PR Officer to enhance our brand presence and oversee internal and external communications.

    This role is ideal for a proactive and creative individual with a passion for public relations, media engagement, and communications. It will require market scanning to understand emerging themes in social care, excellent inhouse communication with heads of service to manage commissioned pieces of work and close attention to detail to ensure our brand and reputational value are maintained.

    Volunteer fundraising assistant

    Salary:  Voluntary role - reasonable expenses claimable

    Hours:  As required for events. 6-10 hours per month (when events are taking place)

    Type of contract:  Volunteer

    Location:  Worthing and events in the surrounding areas

    Reporting to:  Fundraising officer

    Overview:

    Role Overview: As a Volunteer Fundraising Assistant, you will:

    • Support us at local community fundraising events and charity awareness campaigns.
    • Use your knowledge of Independent Lives to promote our services, engage with the public, and signpost families to the vital support we offer.

    • Good communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of people.
    • A willingness to learn about our services and promote them at events.

    Healthcare support worker

    Salary:  £22,932 per annum

    Hours:  35 hours per week – various shifts including weekend work and evenings as required. Hours to suit so please apply if you are able to work any of the available hours.

    Location:  Worthing, Littlehampton, Bognor Regis, Lancing, Shoreham by Sea

    Reporting to:  Field Care Supervisor

    Overview:

    The overall purpose of the role is to provide our customers with support in their own homes, to enable them to live independently with choice and control. Independent Lives Care Service provides a high quality, person-centred service to its users, and this starts with our fantastic Healthcare Support Workers.

    We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting the lives of people in need, working within a committed team, and driven to be the face of the organisation. Do you have excellent time management, communication, and a can-do attitude? Then this could be the role for you!

    As a Health Care Support Worker, there is opportunities for both part time and full-time hours, various shifts including weekend work and evenings as required across West Sussex.
